WEEK OF 09.08.25

I love sticks. Rosemary is my favorite wood — it’s twisty and turny, strong and solid, and grows with deep, smooth grooves that hide beneath its peel-y bark. I salvage a lot of rosemary sticks from my gardening gig. This week I sawed off a few cross-sections of a particularly compelling branch to futz around with. Two of the three pieces broke, so I put them back together like a jewelry puzzle, then made them into brooches.
